Overview
- Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) will operate overnight from 10:30 pm on December 31 to 5:55 am on January 1, with regular services resuming immediately after.
- Central and Western Railways announced additional late-night suburban trains, including CR services on Main and Harbour lines and WR specials between Churchgate and Virar.
- BEST will run extra buses to popular seafronts and operate heritage tours through the evening into early January 1 to bolster last-mile options.
- Bengaluru’s Namma Metro will run extended services on Purple, Green and Yellow lines into the early hours, with MG Road station closed for entry and exit from 10 pm and ticketing advised in advance at Trinity and Cubbon Park.
- Kolkata Metro will add eight Blue Line services on December 31 to handle expected crowds across key corridors.
