Overview

• Two sections totaling 5.25km—Tata Garden to Haji Ali and Lovegrove Nullah to B.M. Thackeray Chowk—are complete and awaiting state government approval for inauguration.
• After a one-week deferment, the BMC will open a 5.5km stretch with six pedestrian underpasses following completion of final finishing works.
• The MCZMA has cleared a 300m extension between Haji Ali and Baroda Palace, with cost estimates finalised and tenders to be issued soon.
• Mechanised sweepers have been deployed for daily cleaning, and new public toilets and a redesigned multi-level car park near Haji Ali are in development to support visitor needs.
• Reliance Industries is set to landscape 53 hectares of reclaimed open space under a Rs 400-crore CSR project subject to coastal regulatory norms.
