Overview

• Foundations have been completed across 406 km of the 508 km alignment and girder launching has finished on 312 km, predominantly in Gujarat.
• Track laying has begun on 127 km of viaducts and the erection of overhead electrification masts is underway along the corridor.
• Out of 28 civil contract packages, 24 have been awarded and all 1,651 utilities along the route have been successfully shifted.
• Seventeen river bridges are finished, foundations at eight planned stations are complete and excavation at the Bandra Kurla Complex station is nearing base slab casting.
• Officials aim to open the Surat–Bilimora section by July–August 2026, complete the Gujarat portion by December 2027 and commission the full route by December 2029.
