Overview

  • A 2.7 km continuous tunnel section between Bandra Kurla Complex and Shilphata has been completed using the New Austrian Tunnelling Method, representing the first breakthrough in the corridor’s 21 km underground stretch.
  • Viaduct construction has reached 309 km and pier work 392 km out of the total 508 km, underscoring rapid structural progress across Maharashtra and Gujarat.
  • Reinforced concrete trackbed laying stands at 176 km, supported by over 44,600 precast slabs cast to cover 213 km of alignment.
  • Electrification infrastructure advances with more than 1,000 overhead equipment masts installed toward a planned rollout of 20,000 masts along the high-speed route.
  • The project has completed 16 river bridges, 8 steel bridges and 5 PSC bridges, and has deployed settlement markers, piezometers and other safety systems at tunnelling sites.
