Overview

  • The BMC will halt water supply in parts of Mulund West from 10 am to 10 pm on July 19 to connect a new 600 mm pipeline along Yogi Hill Marg in Veena Nagar.
  • Affected sectors include Malabar Hill Road, Swapnanagari, Veena Nagar, Model Town Road, Yogi Hill Road, Ghatipada and B.R. Road in the T ward.
  • The NMMC plans an 18-hour shutdown starting July 18 to integrate the Morbe main pipeline into its distribution network.
  • Residents in the shutdown zones are urged to store sufficient water in advance and to boil or filter supply for three to four days after service resumes.
  • Mumbai’s seven reservoirs are holding 78.30% of their capacity, giving authorities a buffer to carry out maintenance while meeting overall demand.
