Overview
- Western Railway confirmed 120 local services will be cancelled on each of January 12 and 13 due to night works and speed restrictions on the Kandivali–Borivali corridor.
- Targeted night blocks at Kandivali are scheduled on January 11/12 for dismantling Point No. 104 and on January 12/13 for connecting crossovers 101–104, with Up Fast shut 11:15 pm–3:15 am and Down Fast 1:00 am–4:30 am.
- The 30‑day Western Railway block on the Kandivali–Borivali section, begun the night of December 20/21, continues through January 18 to build a sixth line.
- Central Railway will run a daytime mega block on January 11, diverting Main Line slow services between CSMT and Vidyavihar from 10:55 am to 3:55 pm and suspending Thane–Vashi/Nerul Trans‑Harbour services from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm.
- Central Railway also announced night traffic and power blocks on January 10/11 and 11/12 between Kalyan and Badlapur for platform extension, FOB works, and 3rd/4th line progress, with suburban gaps between Ambarnath and Vangani and express diversions via Karjat–Panvel–Diva arriving 10–20 minutes late.
