Three gunmen, including the main shooter Shivkumar Gautam who remains at large, practiced firing at a secluded spot near a waterfall in Raigad district before the murder.
The firearms used in the murder were sourced from Rajasthan by two accused, Ram Kanoujia and Bhagwat Singh Om Singh.
Police have arrested ten individuals so far, with Bhagwat Singh Om Singh being the latest, who helped procure and transport the weapons.
