• Kurar police arrested Abdul Ansari alias Appu Khota, Deepali Bhul alias Deepali Sharma, Suraj Jadhav and Akash Pawar on June 8 after dismantling a ring targeting unoccupied homes in Malad East and Pimpri Pada.
• Lead suspect Ansari, 29, is a history-sheeter with more than 40 pending robbery cases and is accused of orchestrating the gang’s break‐in operations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Investigators say Jadhav, an autorickshaw driver, flagged locked residences during the day and concealed stolen jewellery in his vehicle’s boot before accomplices retrieved it.
• Officers recovered 100 grams of gold, 240 grams of silver and Rs 4.72 lakh in cash after tracing a missing pouch hidden in Jadhav’s autorickshaw.
• Police uncovered that the gang used part of the stolen funds to buy drugs in Andheri and rent a villa at Royal Palms for an overnight party, and they continue to search for a fifth suspect.
