Mumbai Police Conduct Identification Parade in Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case

The accused, a Bangladeshi national, was identified by witnesses as the attacker during the court-ordered procedure at Arthur Road Jail.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times during an attempted robbery at his Bandra residence on January 16, 2025.
The accused, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, was arrested on January 19 in Thane and is currently in judicial custody at Arthur Road Jail.
An identification parade was conducted on February 5, 2025, where Saif's staff nurse and house help identified Shehzad as the attacker in the presence of a tehsildar, as per court orders.
Police have presented strong evidence against Shehzad, including CCTV footage and a positive facial recognition test, linking him to the crime.
Saif Ali Khan underwent surgery for six stab wounds and was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on January 21, with security at his residence significantly increased.
