Overview
- Acting on a tip-off, a team led by PSI Sagar Jadhav and Constable Kiran Kore raided Hotel Gateway Star in Sakinaka on November 4 and detained alleged mastermind Mohammed Masood Abdul Waseem.
- Three associates — Abdulla Lare Ahmed Shaikh, Noor Alam Ashiq Ali Khan, and Manish Kotesh Nandala — were later arrested at Sai Guest House in Sakinaka.
- Investigators recovered multiple phones, a passport, a UAE ID card, seven SIM cards, cheque books, bank kits, and debit cards linked to suspected fake accounts.
- Police identified Dubai-based Mohsin and Zafar as handlers and said two local suspects, Abdul Khaliq Abdul Qadir Khan and Arbaaz Fazlani, remain absconding.
- A case has been registered against eight accused under BNS/IPC provisions and the Information Technology Act, with the probe continuing.
