Mumbai Police Book Kandivli Couple in Rs 48.5 Lakh Fraud Case Over Loans, Property, School Admissions

Investigators are probing allegations that repeated cash payments were taken over late 2023 for promises that never materialised.

  • The FIR details cash given for loan fees and IT paperwork, a Rs 26 lakh deposit raised by leasing a Dharavi property, Rs 14.5 lakh for MHADA shops and Rs 15 lakh for school admissions, with later cheques allegedly bouncing and threats reported when repayment was sought; police say the probe is underway and no arrests have been reported.
