Overview
- Ranjit Kumar Singh, 44, used women’s clothing, burqas and even pipe-climbing tactics to break into flats near railway tracks across Malad, Kandivali, Borivali and Dindoshi.
- Officers reviewed more than 150 CCTV feeds and laid a surveillance trap after linking at least eight break-ins since March 17 to the same suspect.
- Investigators recovered over ₹40 lakh worth of valuables including gold and silver jewellery, bank FDs, cash and a gold-melting machine from his Malvani residence.
- Probe revealed Singh used stolen funds to book a flat in Malad and purchase land in Bihar, all of which have been frozen or seized.
- Singh was remanded in custody until June 5 as police intensify efforts to trace any collaborators and undisclosed loot.
