Overview

  • On June 18, MMRCL integrated Aqua Line (Line-3) with the ONDC platform, enabling commuters to buy QR code tickets via EaseMyTrip, RedBus, OneTicket, Tummoc, Yatri, Highway Delite and Miles & Kilometres.
  • The ONDC link allows seamless travel across Lines 1, 2A, 3 and 7 through a single network of partner apps, removing the need for separate ticketing tools or counters.
  • CIDCO rolled out a QR code–based paper ticketing system on Navi Mumbai Metro Line-1 the same day, with Aurionpro Solutions designing and implementing the system under CIDCO and Maha Metro oversight.
  • The paper QR tickets replace the existing Automatic Fare Collection setup and aim to streamline fare collection while boosting ridership and commuter satisfaction.
  • CIDCO has announced plans for additional digital ticketing options, including a dedicated mobile app, WhatsApp-based bookings and integration with the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC).
