Overview
- Four metro corridors—Line 9 (red), 2B (yellow), 3 (aqua) and 4/4A (green)—have reached 78%–99.9% construction and will open sections by year-end.
- The Mumbai One mobility app will launch ahead of the new corridors to provide a single QR-code ticket for 11 operators, including suburban rail.
- MMRDA’s new Mandale depot houses India’s largest metro training centre with AR/VR simulators to prepare drivers and maintenance crews.
- Remaining work on Metro Line 3’s 11.57 km segment is 99.86% complete and set for August launch, completing the city’s first fully underground route.
- Once all 12 lines span 337.1 km, the network is expected to significantly reduce road congestion and support national digital and skills programmes.
