Overview

  • From August 27 to September 6, the last trains from Andheri West (Line 2A) and Gundavali (Line 7) will depart at 12:00 a.m. instead of 11:00 p.m.
  • Weekday services increase to 317, Saturday to 256, and Sunday to 229, adding 12 trips to each day’s timetable.
  • Headways tighten to about 5 minutes 50 seconds in weekday peaks and 9 minutes 30 seconds off-peak, with a 10-minute interval on Sundays and roughly 8:06/10:25 on Saturdays.
  • MMRDA and MMMOCL state they will induct additional trains as needed to handle festival demand and ensure reliable late-night travel.
  • The temporary plan builds on July capacity expansions and follows a record 334,000 single-day riders with growing paperless ticket use.
