Mumbai Metro Line-3 Opens End to End, Connecting Aarey and Cuffe Parade Underground

Trains began full service at 5:55 am with five-minute headways, priced ₹10–₹70.

Overview

  • The final Acharya Atre Chowk–Cuffe Parade section opened a day after the Prime Minister’s inauguration, completing the 33.5 km corridor with 27 stations.
  • Operations feature 31 train rakes with roughly five-minute intervals, first departures at 5:55 am and last at 10:30 pm across the full route.
  • Interchanges now link directly to CSMT, Churchgate, Mumbai Central and both airport terminals, cutting the AareyCuffe Parade trip to under an hour.
  • The Mumbai One app is live for single QR-based tickets across Metro, Monorail, buses and local trains, and the line supports National Common Mobility Card use.
  • Tata Power has deployed about 40 MW to energise the corridor, while in-tunnel mobile coverage remains unavailable and MMRC has enabled free concourse Wi‑Fi as a stopgap.
