Mumbai High-Rise Electrical Fire Contained as Separate Thane Generator Vehicle Blaze Is Doused

  • About 30 to 40 residents were escorted from a 16th-floor refuge area via the staircase, and two men and one woman were rescued from flat 1503 using breathing apparatus.

  • In Thane’s Samata Nagar, a parked generator-mounted vehicle caught fire at 10:32 am, was extinguished by 10:47 am with the vehicle and generator gutted, and officials reported no casualties as the Andheri fire’s cause remains under investigation.
