Mumbai Fire Brigade Inspects 2,703 Venues, Acts Against 136 in Pre‑New Year Safety Drive

  • The checks covered 38 malls, 51 five-star hotels, 194 lodging and boarding houses, 37 rooftop venues, 325 pubs, bars and clubs, 37 party halls, 28 gymkhanas and 1,993 restaurants.
  • A December 30 G‑South ward operation at Kamala Mills and Shakti Mills seized eight illegal commercial LPG cylinders, 200 kg of charcoal, 135 litres of edible oil and other items.
  • The civic body said inspections will continue beyond the campaign period and urged strict adherence to its fire safety guidelines.
