Mumbai EOW Registers Second FIR Over Patra Chawl Tenancy Forgery

The probe targets alleged forged transfers of eight MHADA tenancy rights tied to the stalled Patra Chawl redevelopment.

  • Offences cited include IPC sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 474 and 120B, with the alleged acts spanning 2010 to April 2023.
  • Investigators are tracing forged documents and identifying beneficiaries in the continuing inquiry, with no arrests announced in this case so far.
