• A 45-year-old constable serving in Tardeo’s Local Arms Division was arrested July 14 after allegedly molesting his 12-year-old neighbor in the Saat Rasta area of Agripada.
• Security cameras reportedly show him blocking her from the elevator, grabbing her hand and dragging her up the stairs before a resident intervened and alerted the victim’s family.
• The victim’s parents filed a complaint that led Agripada Police to verify the footage, register an FIR and book him under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 74 and 78 and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act section 12.
• He was remanded in judicial custody until July 25 with police continuing to interview witnesses and review evidence.
