Mumbai Cab Driver Dies by Suicide After Jumping Off Bandra-Worli Sea Link

A 26-year-old man from Govandi, suspected of online gaming addiction, took his life early Friday morning.

Aftab Hussain, a 26-year-old cab driver, jumped off the Bandra-Worli Sea Link at 1:00 AM on September 20.
Hussain's addiction to online gaming is suspected to have driven him to suicide, according to his family and friends.
The Worli police received a distress call at midnight and found Hussain's car parked on the bridge, but rescue efforts were hindered by darkness and high sea waves.
Hussain's body was discovered floating near Dadar Chowpatty around 7:30 AM and was taken to Nair Hospital where he was declared dead.
Worli Police have registered an accidental death report and are continuing their investigation by recording statements from Hussain's family and friends.
