Overview

• International arrivals reached more than 5 million in the first eight months of 2025, up from 4.8 million in the same period of 2024 and 4.1 million in 2023.
• Inbound traffic has grown at a 21% compound annual rate over the past three years, reflecting sustained recovery and demand.
• On a rolling 12‑month basis through August 2025, the airport handled 8.24 million arriving international passengers.
• The UAE was the largest source market with about 1.5 million arrivals (roughly 30%), followed by the UK (0.38 million) and Thailand (0.32 million), with Colombo (0.17 million), Kuwait (0.16 million) and Dammam (0.16 million) emerging strongly.
• Seven international routes were added since April 2024—Al‑Fujairah, Tashkent, Krabi, Almaty, Amman, Manchester and Tbilisi—while overall operations in FY 2024–25 totaled 55.12 million passengers and nearly 1,000 daily movements, maintaining the world’s busiest single‑runway status.
