Overview
- The Almorox blaze that began on Wednesday has burned about 890 hectares, with roughly 600 hectares inside the Madrid region and the Unidad Militar de Emergencias and around 30 fire crews working the perimeter while one urbanisation near Villa del Prado remains closed to residents.
- A separate, independent fire in Villa del Prado prompted ES‑Alert confinement orders, closed two roads and forced the evacuation of a residential care home whose 78 residents were moved to the municipal sports centre.
- A new fire in San Martín de Valdeiglesias started after a car burned on the M‑501 and spread to nearby scrub, leading the Guardia Civil to confine a nearby elderly residence and put 16 aerial and ground units on the scene.
- The Burgohondo (Ávila) fire is described as very active with more than 100 personnel mobilised to protect Navaluenga, El Tiemblo and Burgohondo and authorities ordering camping and rural‑house evacuations and local confinements by ES‑Alert.
