Multiple National Weather Alerts in Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Spain for Nov. 1–2

Officials urge caution as distinct systems drive short‑lived hazards through Nov. 2.

Overview

  • Peru’s Senamhi has a yellow alert active through Nov. 2, warning of sharp nighttime cooling with lows down to −15 °C in the southern high Andes and around −4 °C in central and northern highlands.
  • Mexico’s SMN and Conagua report Cold Front No. 12 bringing very strong rain potential, cooler conditions and possible frosts in the Mesa del Norte and Mesa Central.
  • Despite the broader front, Monterrey is forecast to remain largely stable on Nov. 1 with a fresh morning near 16 °C, highs around 30 °C and very low rain chances.
  • Conagua’s extended outlook flagged only intermittent showers in Nayarit on Oct. 31 and indicated no expected flooding, ponding, landslides or river overflows across nine referenced states.
  • Mendoza, Argentina, is under a yellow alert today for wind, strong storms and possible hail affecting the East, Valle de Uco and Greater Mendoza, while Spain’s Pontevedra province faces a rainy, cloudy Saturday per AEMET-based forecasts.
