Multiple Mumbai Fires Contained With No Civilian Injuries

Authorities say investigations are underway into three separate blazes after crews quickly contained the flames.

  • A flat at Adani Western Heights in Andheri West saw a fire around 11 pm that was confined to seventh‑floor wiring and extinguished in about 30 minutes, with no injuries reported.
  • A blaze on the sixth floor of Emgeen Chambers in Kalina, Santacruz East, broke out around 2:30 am on Sunday and was put out in roughly two hours after four fire engines were deployed.
  • Responders at the Santacruz site included police, 108 ambulances, power company staff and BMC personnel, who limited the damage to interior fittings and installations.
  • An early‑morning fire at a textile/industrial unit in Khoni village, Bhiwandi, began around 5:45 am and was brought under control by about 8:30 am, officials said.
  • One firefighter sustained minor injuries after an LPG cylinder exploded during the Bhiwandi operation and is receiving treatment, while cause assessments and cooling work continue.
