Multiple Highway Crashes in Northern Spain Leave Three Injured, Trigger Closures and Delays

Investigations continue with emergency crews regulating traffic.

Overview

  • On the A-64 in Siero (Asturias), a three-vehicle crash around 14:50 left two people injured, including one in serious condition, and caused about three kilometers of tailbacks.
  • Guardia Civil traffic units from Langreo and Oviedo managed the A-64 scene by opening the left lane, as the Gijón accident-investigation team took charge of the case.
  • In Donostia, a collision between a car and a truck on the A-8 near the Astigarraga exit at 18:05 injured the car’s driver, whose condition was reported as not serious.
  • The A-8 crash prompted a lane closure toward Irun and delays of roughly two kilometers, with Ertzaintza officers, medical teams, and a tow truck deployed to clear the roadway.
  • A separate incident late Tuesday on the N-I at Legorreta involved a truck leaving the roadway, forcing closures in both directions and diversions via the local exit, with injury status not yet confirmed.
