Multiple Early-Morning Shootings on Indianapolis’ East Side Leave Two Dead, Others Wounded
Homicide detectives are examining possible links between the incidents while seeking tips to move the investigation forward.
Overview
- Just before 2 a.m., officers found a man with gunshot wounds at 3816 E. Michigan Street who later died at a hospital.
- Around 4 a.m., police located two victims on the 3100 block of Forest Manor Avenue, with one pronounced dead at the scene and the other described as awake and breathing.
- A short time later, a victim found on the 3000 block of N. Gladstone Avenue was awake and breathing, and investigators say this case may be related to the Forest Manor shooting.
- Shortly before 4:30 a.m., a separate shooting on Renton Street near Barrington Avenue on the southeast side left one person in stable condition.
