Overview

  • At 10:50 UTC on July 24, a collision involving two cars and a truck on the A7 north of Hannover fully blocked the northbound carriageway, causing an eight-kilometer jam on the A7 and a simultaneous five-kilometer backup on the A352.
  • The A7 segment remains closed between Mellendorf and Berkhof for accident reconstruction and vehicle recovery as investigators work to determine the crash sequence.
  • On the A3 near Niedernhausen at around 15:47 UTC, a Chevrolet rear-ended a stationary Toyota in a traffic jam, pushing it into a Tesla and injuring six people.
  • The Niedernhausen crash led to two traffic jams—up to eight kilometers southbound and 12 kilometers northbound—after lane closures and rubbernecking.
  • Around 16:20 UTC, a transporter lost a tire on the A3 near Aschaffenburg, blocking the right lane for about 90 minutes and creating a five-kilometer queue before crews cleared the roadway.
