Muir Woods Reopens Through Oct. 31 With Donor Funding During Shutdown

Private donations from park concessionaires restored basic services under Interior rules through Oct. 31.

  • A coalition led by Must See Tours with ACE Parking Management and ExplorUS funded the temporary reopening, with smaller contributions from San Francisco Jeep Tours and Edge of the World Tours.
  • The $15 per‑person entrance fee is waived during this period, but parking and shuttle reservations and fees still apply and must be booked in advance via GoMuirWoods.com.
  • Park rangers are on site with programs, the Visitor Center is open, and the Muir Woods Trading Co. cafe and gift shop are operating.
