Muhammad Mokaev to Face Gerard Burns for Inaugural BRAVE CF Flyweight Title at BRAVE 100

The matchup gives Mokaev a platform to rebuild his title credentials after his UFC exit.

Overview

  • BRAVE CF announced the Nov. 7 main event in Isa Town, Bahrain, where its 100th event at Khalifa Sports City will crown the promotion’s first 125-pound champion.
  • Mokaev returns to flyweight after a unanimous-decision win over Thomas Assis at 971 Fighting Championship 2 in June, which took place at bantamweight.
  • Burns, an Irish prospect holding a 7-1 record, enters on a six-fight winning streak and most recently defeated Alinson Ochoa by decision in July.
  • The former UFC contender departed after UFC 304 despite an unbeaten run that featured victories over ranked foes Manel Kape, Alex Perez, Tim Elliott, and Charles Johnson.
  • Mokaev has voiced interest in a UFC return, citing a conversation with executive Hunter Campbell about taking 1–2 fights outside the promotion, with reports he declined a DWCS pathway.
