- MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV and MTV Live will stop broadcasting after Dec. 31, according to updated schedules.
- MTV HD remains available and continues to run reality programming such as Naked Dating UK and Geordie Shore.
- Sky and Virgin Media will also remove Pop, Tiny Pop, Pop+1 and Tiny Pop+1, taking the total channels disappearing from those platforms to nine.
- A spokesman for parent company Paramount Skydance declined to comment, as the cuts track with a merger-era plan targeting at least $3 billion in savings and 1,600 job reductions.
- Reports point to similar music-channel shutdowns in Australia, Poland, France, Brazil and parts of Asia and Latin America.
