Overview
- MTV unveiled its initial lineup of performers for the Sept. 7 VMAs, featuring Sabrina Carpenter, Alex Warren, Sombr, J Balvin with DJ Snake, Ricky Martin and Busta Rhymes.
- Busta Rhymes will receive the Rock the Bells Visionary Award and Ricky Martin the inaugural Latin Icon Award, with both artists slated to perform.
- J Balvin’s performance will include “Zun Zun” with Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez followed by the live debut of his new collaboration “Noventa” with DJ Snake.
- Sabrina Carpenter returns as an eight-time nominee including Video of the Year for “Manchild,” while Alex Warren and Sombr make their VMA stage debuts as Best New Artist contenders.
