MTA Worker Fatally Struck by Train in NYC

57-year-old MTA worker Hilarion Joseph was fatally struck by a train while working as a flagger near the 34th St.-Herald Square subway station in Manhattan.
Joseph was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. and is still under investigation.
MTA has halted all non-essential track work following the incident.
All MTA track crews will receive a 'safety refresh' in response to the incident.
