MTA Bus Crashes in Downtown Baltimore, Injuring 16

A mass transit bus collided with two vehicles before crashing into an apartment building in central Baltimore Saturday morning, injuring 16 people.
The bus first hit a Lexus sedan and a Nissan at an intersection, then careened into the apartment building.
Two victims suffered possibly life-threatening injuries and were transported to area hospitals along with the other victims, but none of the injuries were ultimately life-threatening.
The crash damaged the first floor of the apartment building, prompting evacuations, but residents were allowed to return to their homes Saturday afternoon.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, though witnesses reported the Lexus was speeding and ran a red light at the intersection.
