Overview
- Both resorts target Tuesday, Dec. 23, for season openings, conditions permitting, after a late burst of snow.
- Mt. Hood Meadows plans 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. operations with Ballroom Carpet, Buttercup and Easy Rider running, with Daisy possible, and night skiing not yet starting though Night Pass holders may ski 1 to 4 p.m.
- Mt. Bachelor expects Skyliner, Little Pine, Pine Marten and Red Chair to spin and will open a small Woodward Mountain Park with about 10 features, with the CET shuttle operating and the Interlodge shuttle not running.
- Recent snowfall drove the move, with Bachelor reporting about 19 inches at the base over the past week and Mt. Hood roughly 5 inches over two days, as early-season hazards persist and guests are urged to stay on groomed runs.
- Meadows cut lift ticket prices to $59 for adults and $39 for juniors and seniors on Tuesday and Wednesday with credits issued, while daily tickets are sold out through Christmas Day; Timberline and Anthony Lakes are running limited lifts, and Skibowl and Mt. Ashland remain closed.
