MSRTC Deploys 1,150 Extra Buses for Pandharpur Kartiki Ekadashi Yatra

The corporation has launched a sleeper-bus safety awareness drive following the Kurnool fire.

Overview

  • Special services will operate from October 28 to November 3 from the Chandrabhaga Yatra Bus Stand, which has 17 platforms and parking for about 1,000 buses.
  • More than 120 staff will be on duty on the main day, supported by dedicated repair teams and mobile maintenance units positioned outside Pandharpur.
  • MSRTC will run direct village-to-Pandharpur buses for groups of at least 40 passengers making joint bookings.
  • Fare concessions continue with 50% discounts for women and senior citizens, and free travel for passengers aged 75 and above.
  • The safety campaign urges passengers to identify exits and emergency hammers, keep exits clear, report smoke or overheating, and avoid carrying flammable materials.
