• The Metropolitan Airports Commission projects a roughly 19% increase in passenger volumes during MEA week compared with typical fall levels.
• Thursday, Oct. 16, is forecast as the busiest day with more than 52,000 passengers through security, followed by Wednesday over 50,000 and Sunday, Oct. 20, over 48,000.
• Airlines and the airports commission have increased staffing to reduce wait times, and MSP reports minimal effects from the federal shutdown so far though delays remain possible.
