MSNBC to Rebrand as MS NOW on Nov. 15, Dropping the NBC Peacock

The rebrand follows MSNBC’s move into Versant to establish a standalone identity separate from NBCUniversal.

Overview

  • MS NOW stands for “My Source for News, Opinion, and the World,” with leadership stressing an unchanged mission.
  • The network says hosts, show lineups, time slots, and channel positions will remain the same for viewers.
  • A broad marketing campaign will support the transition, and a new red, white and blue look will replace the peacock branding.
  • Carriage continues across major cable and satellite providers, and streaming availability persists on YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and Sling TV.
  • Mobile and connected TV apps will update to MS NOW, some DVR settings may need attention, voice remotes will recognize both names, and the main newsletter becomes MS NOW Daily.
