MSNBC Faces Backlash Over Cancellation of Joy Reid's Show and Staff Layoffs

Most of the production staff from canceled shows, as well as many from Maddow's team, have been let go, with the option to reapply for new positions or accept severance packages.
The network plans to replace Reid's 7 p.m. slot with a panel show hosted by Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, all of whom are people of color.
