Overview

• Twelve former Homebase sites across England—including Abingdon, Cannock, Farnham, Godalming and Northampton—will be converted into M&S food halls.
• The scheme is set to create more than 550 jobs, with eight outlets due to open by the end of 2026 pending planning approval.
• Godalming in Surrey will feature a 22,000 sq ft standalone food store, marking M&S’s largest ever food-only format.
• Each new location will offer expanded parking, on-site coffee bakeries and larger frozen food sections.
• This expansion supports M&S’s goal of operating 420 larger food shops and 180 full-line stores by 2027/28.
