Overview

  • The guarantee covers manufacturing and material defects for up to 365 days after purchase but excludes footwear, accessories, wear and tear, and accidental damage
  • The initiative sits within Plan A’s Another Life framework, which encourages rewear, repair, recycle and resale of children’s garments
  • Last year’s launch of a 100-day back-to-school returns policy and price cuts of up to 20% on over 100 kidswear essentials laid the groundwork for today’s extension
  • Over the past two years, M&S increased its value perception in children’s clothing by five percentage points while maintaining a four-year lead in quality ratings
  • Kidswear director Alexandra Dimitriu said the policy will give parents confidence in product durability and help attract more family shoppers
