M&S Launches eBay Resale Store With Online Takeback and £5 Vouchers

The pilot with eBay and Reskinned tests demand for recommerce before M&S considers selling preloved items on its own channels.

Overview

  • The M&S x eBay storefront and online takeback scheme are live, offering a curated selection of pre-owned M&S clothing, footwear and accessories.
  • Customers complete a short form or scan an in‑store QR code, then send items via a free local courier to Reskinned for inspection, cleaning and repair, with unsellable pieces repurposed or recycled.
  • Each qualifying return that includes at least one M&S‑labelled item earns a £5 voucher toward a £35+ spend at M&S.com, valid for four weeks, with customers able to receive up to six vouchers a year.
  • Oxfam receives 15% of profits from eBay sales and continues to sell donated goods through its own shops and online channels.
  • M&S will evaluate the pilot’s performance before any rollout to its own stores or website, building on a takeback program that has collected about 36.5 million items over more than a decade.
