MPSE Golden Reel Awards Honor Top Sound Achievements in Film, TV, and Gaming

‘Dune: Part Two,’ ‘Wicked,’ and ‘The Wild Robot’ lead winners at the 72nd annual ceremony celebrating sound editing excellence.

‘Dune: Part Two’ won for Feature Effects/Foley, continuing its strong awards season performance after victories at the BAFTA and Cinema Audio Society Awards.
‘Wicked’ was recognized for Feature Music Editing, with its live-recorded musical performances and intricate sound design highlighted.
‘The Wild Robot’ secured the Feature Animation award, maintaining its momentum from other major guild and honorary accolades.
Kevin Costner received the Filmmaker Award, and Greg Hedgepath was honored with the Career Achievement Award during the Patton Oswalt-hosted event.
The ceremony also acknowledged the heroic efforts of Los Angeles firefighters during recent wildfires, inviting them as special guests and incorporating fundraising efforts.
