MPESB Closes Constable Applications, Revives ASI/Subedar Hiring After Eight Years

New ASI recruitment follows an eight-year pause with applications accepted October 27 to November 10.

Overview

  • The MP Police Constable application window ended on October 6, with the written test scheduled on October 30 in two shifts (9:30–11:30 a.m. and 2:30–4:00 p.m.) and reporting at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • The constable drive targets 7,500 posts, split as 700 Special Armed Force GD and 6,800 District Force GD.
  • Constable selection will proceed through a written exam, a physical proficiency test, and a medical examination; eligibility includes Class 10 qualification and age 18–33 as of September 29, 2025.
  • ESB has issued Subedar/ASI notifications after an eight-year gap, detailing 472 ASI posts with 132 seats for women in the district force and 340 Special Armed Force posts for men.
  • For ASI, applications run October 27–November 10 with corrections until November 15; non-MP applicants are treated as general candidates with a maximum age of 33, and selection spans preliminary and main exams, a physical test (800m run, shot put, long jump), a 50-mark interview, and a three-year probation.
