MPBSE Second-Chance Exam Registration Nears Cutoff as May 7 Tests Approach

The NEP-aligned second exam replaces supplementary tests to let students retake or improve specific subjects without losing a year.

Overview

  • MPBSE is closing the short registration window for Class 10 and 12 second-chance exams, with applications submitted online at mpbse.nic.in.
  • The second exam schedule sets Class 10 papers from May 7 to May 19 and Class 12 from May 7 to May 25, all in a single 9:00 am to 12:00 pm shift.
  • Only students who registered for the main board exams are eligible, including those who failed in one or more subjects and those who passed but want higher marks.
  • Applications can be filed online, at MP Online kiosks with cash payment, or through schools where the head completes the online submission and issues a receipt.
  • The board has fixed a tiered fee—₹500 for one subject, ₹1,000 for two, ₹1,500 for three or four, and ₹2,000 for more than four—with re-evaluation and answer-sheet copies available after results and provisional progression allowed until marks are declared.
