Overview
- Phase one will redevelop a 1.75 km corridor covering Khari, Daroga, Gauri, Uma, Siddh and Jilhari ghats at a cost of ₹300 crore under MPRDC.
 - Chief Minister Mohan Yadav is expected to lay the foundation stone soon, according to the announcement.
 - The plan, modeled on Ayodhya’s Saryu riverfront, features an 800‑metre purification channel at Gwari/Gauri Ghat to provide clean bathing water and keep ritual waste out of the main river.
 - Devotee-facing upgrades include five elevated aarti platforms, wide staircases, changing rooms, dedicated priest spaces, heritage murals and organized puja shops.
 - Crowd and safety measures add five parking zones for about 900 two‑wheelers and 700 cars, a pedestrian approach with e‑carts, solar lighting, underground drainage, anti‑skid pathways, water‑jet cleaning and a unified control room, with the Gauri Ghat cremation ground set for modernization.
