• MP Congress chief Jitu Patwari led hundreds of workers and farmers on Wednesday from the party office to the Union agriculture minister’s Bhopal residence for a dharna against the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
• Police tried to halt the nearly two‑kilometre march, a brief scuffle ensued, and a sack of wheat spilled at the residence gate as protesters raised slogans of “We need price, not subsidy.”
• Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Patwari and a few protesters inside his home, after which the group returned to party headquarters with no immediate concessions announced.
