Paul Goldsmith was the last winner of a NASCAR premier-series race on Daytona Beach's road course in 1958.
He competed in the Indianapolis 500 six times, achieving a career-best third-place finish in 1960.
Goldsmith won the Daytona 200 motorcycle race in 1953 and secured five AMA national victories.
He claimed 26 victories in the USAC Stock Car Championship and was a two-time champion in 1961 and 1962.
Goldsmith was inducted into multiple Halls of Fame, including the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2008.
