• The incident was reported around 4:40 a.m. on Oct. 5 on the upbound lanes at Tsuchiyama-cho Sasaji in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture.
• A truck driver called 110 reporting a fallen motorcycle and a collision.
• Police and fire crews responded and confirmed an adult male motorcyclist was deceased at the scene.
• The Shiga Prefectural Police highway unit says the rider apparently fell for an unknown reason and may have been run over by a following vehicle.
