Overview

• The collision occurred around 5 a.m. at kilometer 5.5 near Puente Nicolás Avellaneda, in the direction of Avellaneda and about 15 blocks before the Dock Sud toll.
• The motorcycle struck the rear-left of a roadwork ‘camión mosquito’ that was collecting equipment from overnight repaving operations.
• The rider died at the scene, and agents told TN he was about 40 and worked for Buenos Aires City traffic services.
• Traffic on the Autopista Buenos Aires–La Plata was partially halted for roughly an hour to an hour and a half and has since been cleared.
• Investigators are reviewing the circumstances after initial reports indicated the motorcyclist exceeded the speed limit and lost control.
